A few days ago, at the press conference of the 2022 National Digital Transformation Conference for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Xu Xiaolan, vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that positive progress has been made in comprehensively promoting the digital development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The policy support system has been improved. Not long ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance issued the Notice on Carrying out the Pilot Work of Financial Support for the Digital Transformation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, which plans to support about 300 public service platforms for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises around 100 sub-industries during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, cultivate 4,000 to 6,000 pilot digital transformation model enterprises, and create a series of digital transformation cases and models of small and medium-sized enterprises by focusing on subdivided industries to achieve the goal of "trying out a batch and bringing up a piece".

The transformation path is clearer. According to reports, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has carried out the research of the digital index of small and medium-sized enterprises, and through the formulation of the "evaluation index of the digital level of small and medium-sized enterprises", it provides tools for small and medium-sized enterprises to carry out self-diagnosis and identify the shortcomings of problems, and uses the evaluation indicators as the basis for the evaluation of the digital level in the identification standards of "specialized, specialized and new" enterprises, so as to encourage all regions and industries to continue to further promote the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The service support model is more intimate. At the end of August this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched a one-month SME Digital Service Festival to empower SMEs' digital transformation from the dimensions of technology, experience, channels, and capital. It is reported that more than 6,000 service organizations participated this year, benefiting more than 600,000 small and medium-sized enterprises.

The level of digitalization is related to the high-quality development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released the "Digital Transformation Guide for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" and other contents to further improve the digital support system for small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, the National SME Digital Service Bank will be launched, and a number of miniaturized, fast, lightweight and precise digital system solutions and products will be promoted to further accelerate the digital transformation of SMEs.

"Through the publicity and promotion of 'indicators' and 'guides' and other reference books, establish a number of typical benchmark cases of digital transformation, promote the majority of small and medium-sized enterprises to 'look and learn', which is conducive to solving the common problems of small and medium-sized enterprises such as 'unwilling to turn, unable to transfer, and not transfer', and realizing the 'specialized, specialized and new' development of small and medium-sized enterprises led by digital transformation." Xu Xiaolan said that in the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on the all-round needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, sort out and promote a number of typical digital models of small and medium-sized enterprises, and lead the digital transformation and development of the majority of small and medium-sized enterprises with points and areas.
